New chief for South Cambridgeshire District Council

A district council in Cambridgeshire has appointed a new chief executive.

Jean Hunter, 53, who currently holds the post at South Ribble Borough Council in Leyland, Lancashire, will transfer to South Cambridgeshire.

She succeeds 59-year-old Greg Harlock who retires on 31 August after 40 years in local government.

It will be Mrs Hunter's third chief executive role - she held the post at South Ribble for a decade. Her first was at East Hampshire District Council.
