Stolen bikes recovered by police in Cambridge

Stolen bikes, some of which appeared for sale on an internet site, have been recovered by police in Cambridge.

Officers recovered 13 bikes in Albemarle Way and Chatsworth Avenue when two people called police after seeing their stolen bikes for sale.

Those seized included men's and women's models made by Dawes, Ridgeback, Trek, Raleigh, Apollo, Reflex and Orbea.

Three men were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and released on bail.

Anyone who has not reported a stolen bike and thinks theirs may be among those seized is asked to contact police with a make, model and description.

To claim a bike they will be asked to identify it by either serial number, a receipt of purchase or a distinguishing mark or feature.
