Six men held after police raids in Cambridge

Six men have been arrested during raids across Cambridge to target burglary, vehicle and cycle crime.

More than 60 officers executed nine warrants at several addresses in Kendal Way and Fallowfield earlier.

Police said officers will be carrying out further raids and making arrests over the next two weeks.

Operation Northwood has recovered a "significant quantity of stolen property and built up a wealth of evidence", police said.

Officers have been working on an investigation into burglary, vehicle and cycle crime and handling stolen goods, for the past year.

Det Insp Andy Gipp said: "This is the result of a year-long investigation into burglary, car and cycle crime across the city as well as the selling of stolen goods.

"My message to burglars and thieves is a simple one - we know who you are and we will be coming to get you."
