Badgers and walkers share pathway under busy bypass

A tunnel allowing badgers to cross a busy bypass in Cambridgeshire has been adapted so walkers can use it too.

The tunnel, near Caxton, has been adapted at a cost of £2,000 by a council workers and engineers.

Cabinet member for highways and access Mac McGuire, said: "Originally walkers using the nearby footpath would have had to cross the road above a culvert.

"Thanks to the work of county council teams and developers walkers and badgers can use a safer under-bridge."
