Girls praised for handing in money found near Cambridge

Two 11-year-old girls who handed in £300 they had found in a Cambridgeshire street are to receive certificates from the police.

The found the money in Histon, near Cambridge, on 16 August and took it the Cambridge Building Society.

An appeal was made for the owner to come forward and a business in Stapleford claimed the money soon afterwards.

The girls will be praised for their honesty at a presentation on Thursday.
