Crash on A428 kills Hardwick woman and injures two

A woman has died in a crash involving two cars on the A428 in Cambridgeshire.

Lynda Evans, 48, of Pershore Road, Hardwick, suffered fatal injuries when her black Toyota collided with a blue Citroen.

The crash happened on the eastbound carriageway near Dry Drayton, Cambridge, shortly before 1900 BST on Thursday.

The 58-year-old Citroen driver from Ipswich and her 22-year-old female passenger suffered serious injuries.

They were taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.
