Peterborough surgery moves because of frozen pipes

Frozen pipes have caused a Cambridgeshire doctors surgery to move to new premises for several weeks.

Alma Road Health Centre on Alma Road, Peterborough, will be moving to the healthy living centre on Princes Street from Wednesday.

An NHS spokeswoman said it would be there until at least Monday 10 January.

Patients who have already booked an appointment at Alma Road on or after 22 December will need to go to Princes Street.

Peter Wightman, director of primary care at NHS Peterborough, said: "It's important that patients can see a healthcare professional in a safe and warm environment and this short-term solution will ensure this."
