Four bailed over alleyway attack in St Neots

Four people have been arrested and bailed in connection with a serious assault in Cambridgeshire.

A 28-year-old man was punched and kicked to the head by a group of up to 10 people in St Neots on 14 November.

He had tried to defend a female friend when the group verbally abused her in Waitrose car park. The group attacked him in an alley off the High Street.

Police said two men, aged 19 and 20, and two 17-year-old boys, all from St Neots, have been bailed until January.

The man who was attacked has been discharged from hospital but has not fully recovered from his injuries, police added.
