Driver in A47 Wisbech multi-vehicle crash named

The driver of a car who died after his vehicle was involved in a crash with four others has been named as a 53-year-old man from Cambridgeshire.

The five-vehicle crash on Wednesday morning left the A47 closed between Guyhirn and Wisbech for eight hours.

Francis Robert Grant of Heron Walk, March, was seriously injured and died a the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.

Police want to talk to anyone who saw what happened just before the crash.

Mr Grant was driving a white Kia car which collided with a green Land Rover Discovery, a blue Mercedes car, a white Citroen van and a white Ford Transit van.

The driver of the Mercedes was treated for minor injuries at Peterborough hospital.
