Man dies in house fire in Cambridge

A man who was dragged out of a burning house in Cambridge has died.

Fire crews were called to the fire in a first-floor bedroom at the semi-detached property in Coldham Plain, just before 2200 BST on Thursday.

The man, who was in his 20s, was brought out of the house but died despite the efforts made to resuscitate him.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said the man was from the Cambridge area.
