Police have released new CCTV images of a van believed to have been used in the theft of Chinese art from Cambridge's Fitzwilliam Museum.

The pictures show the vehicle heading out of the city centre on Fen Causeway.

Officers believe up to four men were involved in the theft of 18 jade items at about 19:30 BST on 13 April.

Det Ch Insp Jim McCrorie said: "This new CCTV gives us additional information about the route taken out of the city."

The van, which has not been found, was believed to have been stolen in Tower Hamlets, east London on 7 April.

Det Ch Insp McCrorie said: "I am keen to trace this vehicle and would also appeal to anyone who knows where the van has been since 13 April or where it is now."

The police said the caddy van, which has a dent in its side, was seen parked on Grove Lane at about 19:30 BST on the day of the robbery and CCTV has it pictured on Trumpington Street at 19:38 BST near the Hotel du Vin.
