Two held in missing Deborah Steel 'murder case'

Two more people have been arrested by detectives investigating the disappearance of Cambridgeshire pub landlady in 1997.

Deborah Steel, who was 37 and ran the Royal Standard in Ely, was last seen in the early hours of 28 December. Her body has not been found.

The arrested men, aged 72 and 49, are from Ely and Sutton.

A 70-year-old man, from Ely, who was arrested in September is still on police bail.

Ms Steel's disappearance was recently reclassified from a long-term missing person inquiry to a murder inquiry by Cambridgeshire Police.

A garden and a property in the Longfields area of Ely, "linked to the disappearance", were searched by officers over the weekend of 6 and 7 September .

Police said they were now conducting further searches in Ely and Sutton.
