A man has been arrested following a crash between two lorries which killed one of the drivers as both vehicles caught fire.

The accident happened on the A141 at Hartford in Cambridgeshire on Tuesday, 10 March.

Phil Asplin, 59, of Cedar Close, March, died, while the other driver escaped from his HGV and was taken to hospital.

That driver has now been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The 23-year-old from Hornchurch in east London had been recovering from serious injuries and was now in custody, Cambridgeshire Police said.

The road was shut for a day while the surface was repaired.
