Coroner rules Cornwall hotel balcony fall 'accidental'

A teenager who suffered fatal injuries after falling from a hotel balcony in Cornwall died as a result of an accident, an inquest has heard.

Kane Gray, from Falmouth, fell about 45ft (13.7m) from the balcony at the Metropole Hotel in Padstow in the early hours of 4 January.

The 19-year-old was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro where he remained until his death on 19 March.

Andrew Cox, deputy Cornwall Coroner, recorded a verdict of accidental death.
