Published

A special service has been held to bless one of Cornwall's volunteer lifeboat crews.

The service for Falmouth lifeboat crew was staged on Custom House Quay by crew chaplain, the Reverend Barrington Bennetts.

It featured prayers as well as music from Pendennis Brass Band's youth section and singing from King Charles the Martyr's parish church choir.

The service, which takes place annually, was held at 1700 BST.

After the service, which is open to the public, people were invited to go aboard one of the crew's lifeboats.
