Crash motorcyclist, 17, critical

A teenage motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a crash in Cornwall.

The 17-year-old was not wearing a motorcycle helmet when the accident happened in Porthtowan at about 1745 BST.

Police said his motorbike appeared to hit a parked vehicle before going into the side of a residential property.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance airlifted him to hospital with serious head and leg injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact police.
