Hundreds of trout found dead in Cornwall river
The Environment Agency is investigating how more than 300 trout died in a river in east Cornwall.
Officials were alerted on Sunday to a large number of dead fish floating in the East Looe River, near Liskeard.
A total of 190 sea trout and 136 juvenile trout, plus a small number of salmon, were found in a 1.6-mile (2.5km) stretch by its officers.
The agency said it was a serious incident which had devastated the local fish population.
Fish and water samples have been sent to the agency's laboratories for analysis.
