Man thrown from car in Cornwall collision

Thermal imaging equipment had to be used to locate a passenger thrown from a car in a collision with another vehicle in Cornwall.

The man was in the back of the car when he was thrown from the vehicle between Lanner and Comford on the A393.

Fire crews from Redruth, Falmouth and Camborne were called at about 0155 BST.

He was found in undergrowth with head inquiries and taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital. His injuries are described as "life threatening".

Anyone with information is urged to contact police. The road remains closed.
