Views sought on Cornwall lap-dancing clubs

Cornwall Council wants people to submit their views on the future licensing of lap-dancing clubs and sex shops.

A new draft policy is being drawn up under the Policing and Crime Act 2009 which classified lap dancing clubs as sexual entertainment venues.

The new rules could include limits on the number of premises operating within certain areas.

Some campaigners are calling to a total ban on lap dance clubs, but the council said clubs had a right to operate.
