Two Cornwall roads closed as ice causes danger

Two roads were closed in Cornwall and drivers were warned to take care after rain falling on frozen roads created dangerous conditions.

The B3287 at Tregony Hills and the Old Coach Road in Lanivet were closed because of ice and re-opened later.

Ice caused hazardous driving conditions on the A38 in Liskeard and the A388 Saltash Road at Callington.

The Met Office is predicting more ice on Sunday night with temperatures down to -1C.

The BBC travel news website reported that the B3275 at the Ladock junction had been re-opened after an accident. No-one has been reported injured.

Forecasters are expecting widespread ice after rain on Sunday night.
