Jobs of carers for vulnerable in Cornwall under threat

About 100 jobs are under threat at an organisation that provides care for vulnerable people in Cornwall.
The Stonham Home Group has three contracts with Cornwall Council, and looks after about 1,000 people.
The group said it was informed this week its contracts were to end on 31 March.
The council said the money came from its Supporting People initiative, an area where it wanted savings. It added it wanted to review outreach services.
Stonham staff help people with housing-related needs and supports them to stay at home and maintain their independence.
The council said the decision to withdraw funding had nothing to do with the quality of care.
