Man arrested in Newquay over threats to kill

A 29-year-old man from Cornwall has been arrested following reports that a man made threats to shoot members of the public.

Firearms officers were called to an address in the St Columb Minor area of Newquay on Saturday at about 0930 GMT.

A police spokesman said the situation was resolved without "harm being caused to anyone".

The man, from Newquay, was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and released on bail until 16 March.
