Seven bailed after drugs and cash seized in Cornwall

Seven people arrested in connection with the suspected supply of controlled drugs and money laundering in Cornwall, have been released on bail.

About £15,000 in cash and 2kg of cocaine worth £70,000 were seized by Devon and Cornwall Police on Thursday.

A police spokesman said the arrests were made in the Newquay and St Dennis areas.

Six men aged between 23 and 57, and a 35-year-old woman, have been released on bail until 24 May.

During the course of the arrests one suspect tried to escape in a car which was in collision with two police vehicles, police said.
