A fatal agricultural accident on the Isles of Scilly is being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
It follows the death on Thursday of a local man, who has not yet formally been identified, at Borough Farm on the main island of St Mary's.
It is believed the man died after being crushed by a tractor.
A HSE spokeswoman said the executive was investigating the death with Devon and Cornwall Police.
According to figures from the HSE, 38 agricultural workers were killed at work between 1 April 2009 and 31 March 2010.
"Agriculture is one of the most dangerous industries alongside construction," the HSE spokeswoman said.
