Cornwall farm worker killed in 'power cable' accident

A 24-year-old man has been killed in a farming accident in Cornwall.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, appears to have died after a power cable was severed by machinery he was working on, said police.

Devon and Cornwall Police and the Health and Safety Executive was investigating the incident at Kergilliack, near Falmouth.

Det Insp John Trott, of Devon and Cornwall Police, said: "This is a tragic death."
