Knifepoint robbery at Iceland supermarket in Redruth

Police are hunting a man who robbed a supermarket in Cornwall at knifepoint.

The man threatened a woman cashier at the Iceland store in Fore Street, Redruth, before escaping with cash at about 14:00 GMT on Sunday.

The suspect is in his 20s, about 6ft (2m) tall and of medium build and escaped along Green Lane and the taxi rank opposite the railway station.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said that the threatened woman was "extremely upset" but unharmed.
