Bodmin safety partnership aiming to reduce crime

People and agencies in mid-Cornwall are creating a safety partnership with the aim of reducing crime in the area.

Centred on Bodmin, Safer Bodmin will involve Cornwall Council, the town council, police, the fire service, and street pastors.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the partnership would work on improving community safety.

Its priorities include dealing with domestic abuse, anti-social behaviour and problem alcohol use, police added.

Another area it would look at was illegal drug use, the force said.
