Tug boat Aquarius sinks off Lizard in Cornwall
One person is missing after a small tug boat sank, 45 miles off the Lizard in Cornwall.
Two of the three crew of the Aquarius have been airlifted from a liferaft, after Falmouth coastguards received a call for help at about 06:45 BST.
The vessel, believed to be British registered, was on its way from La Coruna in northern Spain to Plymouth.
The rescued crew, who are not thought to have been seriously injured, were taken to a military hospital in Brest.
French coastguards are co-ordinating the incident.
Former owner of the Aquarius, Philip Berryman, who used the former Swedish ice tug for salvage, said he was "very surprised" that it had sunk.
"She had two good engines and was capable of going almost anywhere in the world," he said.
