Truro's Olaf Schmid remembered in charity concert

A charity concert has been held in Truro to remember Staff Sergeant Olaf Schmid who died in Afghanistan in 2009.

The event was in aid of the Olaf Schmid Memorial Choristership, which was set up to remember him.

The charity helps support young choristers. Staff Sgt Schmid had been a chorister at Truro Cathedral.

He was killed while defusing a roadside bomb in Helmand Province. The event was held at the Roman Catholic Church in Truro on Sunday.
