Rock climber injured in Zennor cliff fall

A rock climber has been airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after falling down cliffs in Cornwall.

The climber, who was part of an expedition, fell about 8m (26ft) at Bosigran, near Zennor, a popular climbing area.

He was airlifted by a helicopter from RNAS Culdrose. Coastguard teams from St Ives and Penzance and a land ambulance were also called to the scene.

The man's condition was described as "severe" by coastguards.
