More CCTV footage has been released by police investigating the death of Alan Jeal in Cornwall.

The body of Mr Jeal, was discovered on Perranporth beach on 25 February. He had multiple injuries and a pair of earphones stuffed in his mouth.

The new footage, from the night before his body was found, shows he was in Newquay before travelling to Perranporth.

Police said they hoped the new pictures would "jog someone's memory".

Devon and Cornwall Police said the footage showed Mr Jeal getting off a bus at Newquay bus station at 20:16 GMT.

He then walked around the town centre before returning to the bus station at 21:00 and catching the 21:15 bus to Perranporth.

He was also captured on CCTV in Perranporth between 22:25 and 22:27.

Senior Investigating Officer, Det Ch Insp Dave Thorne, said: "Originally we believed Alan caught the bus from Truro to Perranporth on Monday evening, but now this latest CCTV shows Alan in Newquay before taking a bus to Perranporth.

"We are hoping this may jog the memory of someone who was in the area at the same time as Alan and they may recall seeing him."

Mr Jeal had injuries to the chest, head and hand. He also suffered significant internal injuries.
