Tributes to Pebworth fireman after crash
Tributes have been paid to a firefighter who was killed in a road accident in Warwickshire.
Gary Williams, 38, was crew manager at Pebworth Fire Station, Worcestershire.
Ambulance crews were called to the B4362, near Long Marston, when his Land Rover overturned after a collision on Tuesday morning.
Chief Fire Officer Mark Yates said Mr Williams had been a fireman for eight years and "was a highly valued and respected member of the team".
Mr Yates added: "He will be missed terribly by his colleagues at Pebworth, who, despite their loss, have continued to remain on duty and available to respond to emergency calls throughout this difficult time."
He added the fireman was a dedicated officer "who lived and worked in the heart of the local community".
Among his roles, Mr Williams was an instructor with the Young Firefighters Association at Bidford Fire Station in Warwickshire.
