Work affects holiday rail services in West Midlands

West Midlands rail passengers have been affected by engineering work between Rugby and Birmingham International.

On Sunday Cross Country trains were not calling at Coventry and Birmingham International and buses were operating.

Buses replaced London Midland trains between Coventry and Nuneaton and Birmingham International and Northampton.

A reduced and diverted Virgin Trains service was going from London Euston to Birmingham New Street/Wolverhampton.

Connecting buses

This was not calling at Coventry and Birmingham International.

Connecting buses were running between Rugby and Birmingham New Street, calling at Coventry and Birmingham International.

Buses over Cross Country services were running between Leamington Spa, Coventry and Birmingham International.

The situation relating to Cross Country trains will be the same on Monday.

Buses will replace London Midland trains between Coventry and Nuneaton on Monday. Until 1200 BST buses will replace trains between Birmingham International and Rugby.

A reduced and diverted Virgin Trains service will run between London Euston and Birmingham New Street/Wolverhampton until 1200 BST on Monday, not calling at Coventry and Birmingham International.

Connecting buses will run between Rugby and Birmingham New Street until 1200 BST on Monday, calling at Coventry and Birmingham International.

London Midland services were also affected on Saturday.
