A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire that destroyed a woodwork engineering factory close to Coventry Airport.

Firefighters have been damping down at the Ney building on Siskin Drive, which caught fire at 17:05 BST on Wednesday.

The 48-year-old was arrested shortly before 10:00 BST on Thursday and later bailed.

Police have been looking into the possibility that the fire could have been deliberate.

At its height, up to 80 firefighters were at the scene and smoke was visible for many miles.

Part of the building in the Middlemarch Business Park collapsed.

The airport reopened earlier after being closed overnight because of the excessive smoke.
