Police divers find body in Cumbrian river

Police divers have discovered a body, believed to be that of a missing man, in a river in Cumbria.

The police underwater unit was called in to assist the search for missing Walton Rudd, 54, from Cleator.

Divers found the body of a man in the River Keekle, near Keekle Bridge, Cleator at about 1530 BST on Thursday.

Cumbria Police officers will work to formally identify the body. The coroner and the family of Mr Rudd have been informed.
