Doors open at refurbished museum in Cumbria

The Penrith and Eden Museum in Cumbria has re-opened to the public following a refurbishment to improve facilities.

The centre, located on Middlegate, Penrith, was closed for several months.

It opened this week with a new audiovisual system and improved facilities for educational workshops and exhibitions.

To mark the re-opening of the museum, a film about prehistoric Cumbria called "Stones from the Sky" will be shown in the museum's new gallery.
