Penrith festival puppets support charity

Organisers of a street festival in Penrith have donated £400 to a charity shop which was used as a puppet theatre.

Glass was removed from the shop window of Eden Mind in St Andrew's Place to allow French puppeteers, Delit de Facade, to perform on Sunday.

Two puppet families were used to entertain crowds in a show mixed with comedy, drama and burlesque.

Lakes Alive donated the money, which will be spent on a new arts room.
