Roadshows on South Cumbria housing stock future
- Published
Council tenants in South Cumbria are being invited to find out more about plans for its housing stock.
South Lakeland District Council has said rental revenue no longer covers maintenance and improvement costs.
Measures such as transfer of ownership and management of the 3,200 homes to a not-for-profit housing group are being considered.
Roadshows and drop in sessions are being held throughout August to answer questions and hear tenants' views.
The first takes place in Hallgarth Community Centre, Kendal, on Tuesday afternoon.
Questionnaires have also been sent to all the tenants with a newsletter explaining about the different options.
