Teenager killed in car Cumbria collision


A teenager has died after the car he was driving collided with another on the A6 in Cumbria.

John Teasdale, 18, of Shap Village, was at the wheel of a Mini Mayfair which was in collision with a BMW saloon on the A6 near Hackthorpe.

He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, but was later pronounced dead. The male driver of the BMW was treated for minor injuries.

Cumbria Police appealed for witnesses to the incident on Thursday afternoon.
