Police have named a man found dead on Blencathra in the Lake District.

Robert Keetley, 51, of Rutland Rd, Nottingham, was reported missing by his wife after he failed to return from a walk on Wednesday.

Mountain rescue teams from Keswick, Penrith and Kirkby Stephen and an RAF helicopter were involved in the search.

Cumbria Police said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances and a report on the incident was being prepared for the coroner.

Blencathra, also known locally as Saddleback, is popular with walkers and is one of the most northerly mountains in the Lake District.
