Egremont man arrested in drugs raid

A 64-year-old man has been arrested after police seized a substantial haul of drugs during a raid at a house in Cumbria.

Officers, acting on a tip-off executed a search warrant at Croft Terrace, Egremont, on Friday evening.

During the raid they seized what they believed to be £2,000 of cocaine and £1,000 cash.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply and was bailed until 1 November.

The suspected drugs haul is currently undergoing tests, Cumbria Police.
