Allerdale Council seeks new housing sites

A council in Cumbria is asking developers, landowners and members of the public to let it know about sites which could be suitable for housing.

Allerdale Borough Council is particularly interested in places in towns and villages which could be used for three or more dwellings.

The process is part of the council's Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment.

Anyone with a potential site is asked to contact the council by 19 November.

The council said that at present it was an evidence gathering exercise, and the identification of a site would not guarantee that it would be used for new housing development in the future.
