Arrest after cyclist dies in crash with lorry

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing the death of a cyclist in a crash with a lorry.

The collision happened on Brampton Road outside the University of Cumbria on Wednesday morning.

The man died at the scene and Cumbria Police are trying to identify him.

A 61-year-old man has been arrested and is in custody on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road crash, police said.
