A 20-year-old former nursery worker has admitted sexually abusing an eight-year-old.
Daniel Tredwell, of Staveley, near Kendal, admitted four charges of sexual activity with a boy and 10 charges of distributing indecent photographs.
He also admitted downloading 500 indecent images and was remanded in custody to be sentenced on 3 December.
Cumbria Police have stressed the offences did not occur while Tredwell worked at a children's nursery.
