Police hunting armed robbers who targeted a Cumbrian post office have released CCTV images of a man and a car they believe were involved.
Two men, one of whom had a handgun, went into the post office at Great Broughton on Monday evening.
Police said the pair demanded money but left empty handed.
The images show a man wearing a dark top and light trousers get into a dark coloured hatchback with alloy wheels.
Cumbria Police officers carried out a search of surrounding fields immediately after the raid and also carried out stop and search checks on cars in the village.
Det Insp Jason Robinson, who is leading the investigation, said: "We are following a number of leads and one of our priorities at this stage is to identify the person and vehicle captured in this CCTV footage.
"They may hold vital information that can lead us to the offenders."
