Dangerous Cumbria building sites targeted

  • Published

Inspectors are carrying out a month-long drive to highlight unsafe construction sites in Cumbria.

Figures from the Health and Safety Executive showed 94 people were injured in the county during 2009/10 and three died.

Inspectors will make a series of unannounced visits to sites.

They will look at working at height, make sure sites are in good order and that asbestos exposure risk is being properly managed.
