Car fans have the chance to buy some vehicles made famous by film and television shows.

Peter Nelson has spent years building up his collection for his Cars of the Stars museum, in Keswick, Cumbria.

He plans to sell off some vehicles so he can buy more cars for the James Bond car museum, which he also runs.

Among the vehicles being put up for sale on online auction site eBay are a Kitt exhibition car from Knightrider and one used in Starsky and Hutch.

Mr Nelson said: "I have got so many vehicles stored away in various places so I thought I would have an attic clearout, as it were."

Among the vehicles going on sale are one of the three Mr Nelson owns from the movie Back to the Future. There is also the famous red and white Gran Torino used during filming for Starsky and Hutch. It is without an engine.

Mr Nelson said: "I am heartbroken to part with these cars."

The funds he gets from the sales will go towards buying cars for his Bond museum.

He said he had no plans to sell the Cars of the Stars museum unless someone wanted to keep it in its entirety and in Keswick.
