Fans of victorious Carlisle United will be able to celebrate with the team when a civic reception is held.

The Cumbrian side beat Brentford 1-0 in the final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley on 3 April.

In recognition of their achievement, players, management and officials have been invited to the reception at Carlisle's civic centre on Thursday.

The event is due to start at 1730 BST with the team due to appear with the trophy on the building's balcony later.

Carlisle United also won through to the final of the competition in 2010 but were beaten 4-1.
