Family's tribute to Barrow street death man

The family of a man found dead on a Cumbrian street paid tribute to him.

Mark Salton, 38, of Devon Street, Barrow, was found on Emlyn Street in the town on Saturday morning where he was pronounced dead.

His family described him as "much loved" and a "fantastic uncle" and said that he would be sadly missed.

A 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter was released on bail until 11 October pending further enquiries.

Mr Salton's brother Craig said: "Mark was a much loved son of Pauline and Eric and brother to me and Leanne.

"Mark was a fantastic uncle to his niece and nephew who he devoted a lot of his time to.

"He was a well known, well liked friend of many and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him."

Cumbria Police said an investigation into the cause of Mr Salton's death was continuing.
