Barrow woman charged following 'road rage' incident

A 60-year-old woman has appeared in court after a suspected "road rage" incident in Barrow, Cumbria.

The incident happened on 23 January on Urswick Green, when a woman was allegedly seen driving her car into a stationary white van.

Police said a 64-year-old local man, who was inside the van, had earlier been threatened with a knife.

Eileen Hogg, of Abbottsmead Approach, Barrow, faces charges of attempted grievous bodily harm and wounding.

She was remanded in custody by Furness magistrates, in Barrow, to appear at Lancaster Crown Court on 2 March.
